Restylane® & Perlane®
These modern filler treatments use hyaluronic acid, a naturally-occurring sugar in the body, to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles and depressions. Restylane® is formulated as a clear gel and adds natural volume and lift to smooth wrinkles and folds. Perlane® contains larger particles of hyaluronic acid for treatment of deeper folds and facial hollows. Results following injection of either Restylane or Perlane at our Philadelphia medical spa can be seen immediately after treatment.
The Medical Aesthetic Skin Care Center is a physician-supervised medical spa where science meets skin care. If you would like to learn more about non-surgical cosmetic enhancements, call us at (610) 664-8830 or request a complimentary skin care consultation online today.
More about Restylane
Restylane is indicated for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the lines between the nose and mouth). Results can last up to 9 months before a touch-up treatment is required. Restylane is also an effective treatment for earlobe rejuvenation to plump the earlobe and restore a youthful appearance. After treatment, some temporary redness and minor swelling near the injection site may occur. Both biocompatible and biodegradable, Restylane has a long track record of safety, with use in more than 70 countries and dozens of studies published in medical journals.
More about Perlane
Like Restylane, Perlane is comprised of biotechnologically engineered, non-immunogenic, stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA) gel. Since this is a naturally occurring substance found in the body, no skin test is needed. Hyaluronic acid attracts and binds to water molecules, helping to maintain volume augmentation. The larger hyaluronic acid gel particles in Perlane allow for deeper facial folds, hollows, and facial atrophy to be treated more effectively.
