BOTOX®, Dysport®, & XEOMIN®
Many facial wrinkles are actually creases that have been formed by making the same expression thousands of times. These "expression lines," including frown lines, forehead wrinkles, and crow's feet, are due to the contraction of a muscle under the skin in that area. XEOMIN®, Dysport® and BOTOX® Cosmetic help our Philadelphia patients look more youthful by relaxing the facial muscles responsible for creating the wrinkles.
The Medical Aesthetic Skin Care Center is a physician-supervised medical spa where science meets skin care. If you would like to learn more about non-surgical cosmetic enhancements, call us at (610) 664-8830 or request a complimentary skin care consultation online today.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is BOTOX?
BOTOX is a purified protein toxin produced by the botulinum bacterium, Clostridium. Although BOTOX is a toxin, it is an extremely safe product with over 20 years of clinical experience when used for aesthetic purposes. At our med spa near Philadelphia, we administer BOTOX in very small amounts that are strategically placed to allow for the desired effects.
What is Dysport?
An alternative to BOTOX, Dysport is an effective non-surgical treatment that reduces the appearance of wrinkles and frown lines. It is an FDA approved cosmetic injectable treatment that relaxes the facial muscles that cause "dynamic" wrinkling.
What is XEOMIN?
A relatively new treatment for frown lines between the eyebrows, XEOMIN is made from a naturally occurring protein known as botulinum toxin type A. After being injected into a muscle, XEOMIN blocks nerve impulses, causing the muscle to relax.
How are BOTOX, Dysport and XEOMIN used?
These treatments are administered in units in much the same way that most medications are administered in milligrams. Each of our Philadelphia BOTOX, Dysport and XEOMIN patients receives a customized treatment and dosage. During the consultation, Dr. Greco will determine the amount needed to treat your areas of concern. The key to a successful treatment is to administer enough units to dramatically improve wrinkles while maintaining a natural expression to the face.
What should I expect after treatment?
It takes approximately 3 to 7 days for the effects of the BOTOX to become apparent. Dysport usually achieves noticeable results about 2 to 5 days after treatment. XEOMIN patients typically see noticeable results within 7 days. You will return 2 weeks after your initial visit for a follow-up evaluation. At this time, additional units of BOTOX, Dysport or XEOMIN may be injected to achieve the desired result.
Does an injection hurt?
When BOTOX, Dysport or XEOMIN is injected there is an initial minor sting for a few seconds. Once the injection is complete, there is minimal discomfort.
Where can BOTOX, Dysport and XEOMIN be injected?
The most common treatment areas are the frown lines between the eyebrows, the horizontal forehead lines, and the crow's feet. It is also being used more in the lower face to complement filler injections.
How long does a treatment last?
Our Philadelphia BOTOX, Dysport and XEOMIN patients see results lasting 3 to 5 months, at which time another injection is required. After continued treatments, results may begin to last longer, sometimes up to 6 to 8 months.
Are BOTOX,Dysport and XEOMIN treatments for everyone?
There are very few restrictions regarding BOTOX, Dysport and XEOMIN treatments. Patients who are pregnant or have certain neurologic diseases should not be treated.
